This fiddle is the first of a series to explore the sources of variety that we see in violins. I’m also thinking about traditional violinmaking in the Digital Age.
The basic model is the Korchanski Del Gesu.
The “Turing patterns” that decorate the surface were generated by computer. The carving and finishing work is done by hand.
